QANSAS 2008 will be host to several world authorities on quantum and nano computing systems and applications including: Prof. Peter Shor, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA; Dr. Lov K. Grover, Distinguished Scientist, Bell Labs., USA, Prof. N. David Mermin, Cornell University, USA; Prof. Seth Copen Goldstein, Carnegie Mellon University, USA; Prof. Debabrata Goswami, Dept. of Chemistry, IIT Kanpur, Prof. Kalyanmoy Deb, Dept. of Mech. Engg, IIT Kanpur, Prof. Jaikumar Radhakrishnan, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai and Prof. Apoorva Patel, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
It was well appreciated even during the Indo-US Shared Vision Workshop on Soft, Quantum and Nano Computing (SQUAN 2007) organized at DEI, that an inclusive and exclusive systems approach to Classical and Quantum Information Sciences is a must as exemplified by several books, and national and international research papers. Hence, Classical Information Science has been given a prime position in the structure of the Indo-US Advanced School. In fact the culmination of the Advanced School will be a dialogue on the growing relationship between Classical and Quantum Information Communities. |
