DEI Information Centres and DEI ICT Distance Education Centres

DEI Information Centres

The programmes are offered in 83 Information Centres in India and 6 abroad. A list of the Information Centres is provided with complete addresses and the telephone numbers of the Centres-in-charge. The programmes offered by the Information Centres are also listed.

For knowing details, the Centre-in-charge may be contacted. The application forms are available with them (they can also be downloaded from the website). The process of issuing application forms etc. starts in May of each year and the admissions are generally made in early July. (Candidates must check directly with the Information Centre).

DEI ICT Distance Education Centres

The following four Centres are equipped or are in the process of being equipped with state-of-the-art information communication technology (ICT) to receive and transmit programmes in synchronous mode. These are ICT enabled extension centres of DEI and provide regular students (admitted through HQ quota) the flexibility of attending classes at multiple locations as and when considered feasible.

1.       Melathriuvenkatanathapuram (MTV Puram), Tamil Nadu (a remote rural and backward area)
2.       Rajaborari - Timarni, Harda District, MP (a tribal area)
3.       Soami Nagar, New Delhi (near IIT Delhi with which DEI has an MOU)
4.       Bangalore

A number of higher level programmes of the University are conducted in these Centres including the following. Diploma  (3 years) in Electrical Engineering and Electronics; B.Ed; Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication; MBA; MA in Theology; M.Phil in Theology, Electronics, Computer Science; and Ph.D.
