He is currently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering in DEI, Dayalbagh. He teaches Fuzzy Systems, Computer Methods in Power Systems, Electro-Magnetic Field Theory, Planning and Operation of Restructured Power Systems etc. His research interests include Soft Computing, Optimal Power Flow, Electricity Market Clearing Models, Congestion Management, Information Retrieval System, Ranking functions and Query expansion techniques. He is an active researcher, guiding research, published papers in journals of national and international repute, and is also involved in major project funded by UGC.  He is a life member of System Society of India (SSI) , life member of Computer Society of India (CSI), senior member of International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (IACSIT), Singapore and member of IACSIT Electronics and Electrical Society (EES), Singapore.
