• DEI has entered into an MOU with University of Maryland College Park.

• Dr C. Patvardhan has an ongoing collaboration with Prof A. Srivastav of Christian Albrechts Universitat zu Kiel, Germany in the area of Evolutionary and Quantum Algorithms for optimization.

• Dr C. Patvardhan has been working with Prof. Prem Prakash of the University of Pittsburgh on Combinatorial Optimization (TSP).

• Prof. D. K. Chaturvedi has an ongoing collaboration with Prof. Mallik of University of Calgary, Canada in the area of Power Systems.

• Prof. Vishal Sahni and Prof. V. Prem Pyara have a collaboration with Prof G. S. Adhar of the University of North Carolina, USA in Evolvable Hardware.

• Prof. Nam Bhatia of Department of Mathematics, University of Maryland, USA has been a regular visitor to the department for special lectures.

• Prof. D. K. Chaturvedi has an ongoing collaboration with Prof. H.H.P. Kohly, Jackson State University, USA, in the area of modeling and Simulation of Systems.

• Prof. D. K. Chaturvedi also has an ongoing collaboration with Dr. Nirmal Kumar, Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Auckland University, Auckland, New Zeland, Prof. H. Rock, Dept. of electrical Engineering, Christian-Albrechts University zu Kiel, Germany.

Inter-faculty

Dr C. Patvardhan has a collaboration with Dr C. Vasantha Lakshmi of Department of Physics and Com Sc, Faculty of Science on Image Processing. They have a joint R&D project sponsored by the Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India on the “Development of an e-verification tool for vetting of confusingly similar trademarks” (Amount 16.99 lakhs, 2 years from December 2004).
