The Department is dedicated towards maintaining its reputation as an outstanding chemistry department on the basis of the rigorous curriculum, the quality of research conducted at the Masters and Doctoral catering to diverse needs of the society.”
RESEARCH
The research in the department is being supported through liberal funding, received in the form of R & D projects from various funding agencies, viz. University Grants Commission, Department of Science and Technology, Dept. of Atomic Energy, Dept. of Environment, Department of Biotechnology, Department of Space, Council of Science and Industrial Research and the All India Council of Technical Education. The Department has also received funding from DST under its most prestigious FIST programme. The Department has also been recognized by the UGC under the UGC-SAP assistance.
