Dr. Jyotika Kharbanda is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Foundations of Education, Faculty of Education, Dayalbagh Educational Institute, Agra. She holds a Ph.D. in Education on the topic "Cognitive Dissonance as a determinant of Critical Thinking, Academic Achievement, and Academic Disengagement of Higher Secondary Students." She has also completed M.Ed. (with a dissertation on the topic "Effect of Yoga on Emotional and Spiritual Intelligence") and M.Sc. in Botany, where she was awarded a Gold Medal by DBRAU, Agra. She has further been conferred the Director’s Medal in M.Phil. (Education) from DEI and qualified for the UGC-NET Junior Research Fellowship in June 2014. Her areas of interest include Science Education, Assessment for Learning, Educational Psychology, Educational Technology, and Research Methodology. She is proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SPSS. She has taught a wide range of courses including EDM 106, EDM 107, EDM 303, EDM 711 in odd semesters, and EDM 202, EDM 203, EDM 217, CAC 271, EDM 404, EDM 811, DED 401, DED402 and CAC471 in even semesters.

Dr. Kharbanda has organized several national and international workshops including a 5-day National Workshop on Calligraphy and Poster Making (2019), an International Online Workshop on Integration of Animation in Teaching-Learning (2021), and a Virtual Talk Series on Well-Being in collaboration with Simon Fraser University (2020).

She has actively presented papers at various seminars and conferences. Notably, she presented at the JAMIA International Conference on Online Education Post-COVID (2022), the International Conference on Sociology of Education (2021), and the IPERA International Conference on POGIL (2016). Her publications include articles in reputed journals such as the International Journal of Indian Psychology, PARIPEX-Indian Journal of Research, and Shodh Samiksha aur Mulyankan, along with book chapters on themes like NEP 2020, Peace Education, Environmental Degradation, and Peer Assessment.

In addition to academic roles, she has contributed as a resource person and jury member at events such as the National Children Science Congress (2023) and Mandal Level Science Sangoshthi (2023). She has delivered expert lectures on Art Integrated Learning and PowerPoint Skills for college students. She has completed faculty development and refresher programs from institutions including AMU, NIT Patna, and the University of Hyderabad under UGC’s Malaviya Mission.
