Miss Simran Bamola, DST-INSPIRE SRF in the Department of Chemistry at DEI, was awarded the First Prize in the Platform Presentation category for her work entitled “Atmospheric Levels, Sources, and Health Risk Assessment of PAHs Associated with PM1 and TSP in an Urban Site in the Historic City of Taj” at the Indian Aerosol Science and Technology Association (IASTA) conference on Aerosol and Climate Change and its Connections. The event was held from December 12-14, 2023 at Vivanta Hotel, Navi Mumbai. She received a cash prize of Rs. 7,500 and a Presentation to Animation Award.

Miss Simran Bamola, DST-INSPIRE SRF from the Department of Chemistry, DEI, was awarded International Travel Support (ITS) by the Department of Science & Technology – Anusandhan National Research Foundation (DST-ANRF) for financial assistance to participate in Goldschmidt 2024, held in Chicago, USA, from August 18-23, 2024. During the conference, she presented a poster titled “Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) Heterogeneity in Different PM Fractions in an Urban Air Environment of the Indo-Gangetic Plain.”
Ms. Bhanupriya Yadav, SRF, in the Department of Chemistry at DEI was awarded best paper for Energy Systems for presenting her work on “Role of Thermal Annealing in Fabrication of Bismuth Ferrite Thin Films for Photoelectrochemical Water Splitting,” at the 45th (Inter) National Systems Conference (NSC 2022). The conference was organized jointly by Dayalbagh Educational Institute and the Systems Society of India, held from September 26-29, 2022.

Ms. Kumari Ruchi, DST-INSPIRE SRF, in the Department of Chemistry at DEI was awarded third position for presenting a paper entitled “Temperature variation of MgFe2O4 thin film for photoelectrochemical water splitting” at the National Conference on Study of Nanomaterials and Scientific Developments in 21st Century held on March 16-18, 2023 at Jiwaji University, Gwalior, India.
Miss Gunjan Goswami, JRF in the Department of Chemistry at DEI received the Best Presentation Award at the 36th Conference of the International Society for Fluoride Research (ISRF) held at AIIMS, New Delhi.
Neelam Baghel, SRF in ISRO-GBP-ATCTM Project in Department of Chemistry, DEI received the best paper award on “Short Term Variability on Air Quality: Impact of Volatile Organic Compounds, PM2.5 And Trace Gases (CO, NOx and O3) During Diwali Festival” in 6th Indian International Conference on Air Quality Management (IICAQM 2021) held at IIT Guwahati from December 16-18, 2021 along with a cash prize of Rs. 5000.
Neelam Baghel SRF in ISRO-GBP-ATCTM Project in Department of Chemistry, DEI received the best paper award on “Air Quality Impact and Characteristics of Volatile Organic Compounds, PM2.5 and Trace Gases (CO, NOx) and Formation of Tropospheric Ozone during the Diwali Festival at Sub-Urban site, Agra” in World Environment Summit (WES-2021) held at India International Center, New Delhi from October 01-03, 2021.
Neelam Baghel, SRF in ISRO-GBP-ATCTM-Project in Department of Chemistry, DEI received women scientist award on “Comparison of Variation in Atmospheric Pollutant Concentrations during the Episodic Haze Event at a Downwind Site of Indo-Gangetic Plain” in 41st Indian Council of Chemists (ICC-2022) organized by Institute of Basic Sciences Khandari, Agra from December 27-29, 2022 along with a cash prize of Rs. 1500.
