In pursuance of the lofty ideals of the Radhsoami Faith to evolve the superman of tomorrow ,Radhasoami Satsang Sabha started the, Radhasoami Educational Institute (R.E.I), co-educational Middle School open to all, on January 1,1917,with classes VI to VIII and student strength of 169, that marked the genesis of education in Dayalbagh. It was recognized for High School in the year 1917 itself and in the year 1919 the first batch of the 18 boys appeared in High School Examination. Out of which 17 passed. Subsequently, the School was upgraded to Intermediate College with science subject on 3rd July 1922 and developed into Degree College affiliated to Agra University, for B.Com. in July 1947 and B.Sc. in 1953.The Intermediate Classes were merged with degree section, whereas High School was amalgamated with the R.E.I Middle School and formed the R.E.I Higher Secondary School.

The pass percentage of the first batch of Intermediate students was 88, which was the best among 26 college of  the Province. With the formation of the Dayalbagh Educational Institute (D.E.I) in1981, Intermediate classes were merged with

  • Higher Secondary School which then became R.E.I Intermediate College. Long before the idea of work-based training was conceived anywhere else, it was imparted in the The College is recognized by the Madhyamic Shiksha Parishad, U.P. and is on the grants-in-aid list of the government. The administrative and financial control of the College has been handed over to D.E.I. by the U.P Government vide its order dated11/10/2012.

The High School and Intermediate students take the examination according to the Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation Scheme and Grades and receive the D.E.I. Certificates for High School and Intermediate.
