Faculty of Socail Sciences aspires to lead higher Social Sciencs learning Centre that enhances learners capabilities and singnificantly contributes to maintain the region's overall Socail economic, environment sustainability
MISSION
To develop the core and distinctive competencies of the learners through rigorous teaching, research,continuously evolving curriculum, and evaluation at various levels(Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and above) of education in the fields of Socio-Political, Economics, Business, Studies and Psychology.

Faculty of Social Sciences came into existence in the year 1994 by merging three departments, viz., Economics, Psychology; and Sociology & Political Science belonging to the Faculty of Arts. The Management programme started in the year 1991 in the Faculty of Commerce was brought under the umbrella of this faculty in 1994 and merged with the Department of Economics. Thereafter, Management was separated to become a full fledged department in the year 2006.
