Prof. Rupali Satsangi is a professor in the Department of Economics at Dayalbagh Educational Institute. She specialises in teaching Microeconomics, Development Economics, and Monetary Economics. Her research interests span Sustainable Development, Behavioural Economics, Microfinance, and Social Diffusion processes. A prolific scholar, she has contributed extensively to national and international journals and is frequently invited by universities to help establish Sustainability Centres. Prof. Satsangi is a life member of the System Society of India and the Indian Economy and Allied Science Association. She also serves on editorial boards of reputed academic journals. Renowned for her efforts in integrating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGS) into higher education, she has led Social Impact Assessment surveys at both institutional and national levels.
Currently, she holds several key positions: Chief Proctor (Girls) at her institute, Coordinator of the Student Exchange Program with Hong Kong University and the University of Edinburgh, and National Environment Nodal Officer. She has also directed a major UGC-funded research project focused on achieving Millennium Development Goals in Agra and has recently published two patents.
In November 2022, Prof. Satsangi was honoured as a mentor for Knowledge for Change (K4C) under the UNESCO Chair’s Community-Based Participatory Research program in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She also represented Indian universities at the G-20 Presidency in Delhi, playing a key role in the “G20 Universities Impact Summit: Implementing SDGS and Beyond.”
