Extension Activities of Home Science Department

 

Under the curriculum of Home Science programme student’s get opportunity to visit the rural areas and spread awareness and impart skills which help for setting up small entrepreneurial ventures. The students of the Home science department organise workshops and camps in nearby rural areas and sensitize the residents on various issues such as adult education, proper nutrition and diet planning for various age groups, immunization and its relevance, health and hygiene, education of girl child and awareness related to other social evils.

Additionally and importantly, under the aegis of initiatives of the institute, Associations of ATMA (Apparel & Toy Making Association) and ADyNaM (Agricultural and Diary Nano Processing of Multi- Products)the department has been providing training to it's surrounding areas as well as rural women of 10 villages of Rajaborari (District Harda, MP) and villages around the Institute's vicinity.
