  • UGC Sanctioned  14 lakhs UGC in 1986
  • Centre started functioning in 1989 with 6 PCs, a Mini Computer and a Line Printer
  • UGC Sanctioned 25 lakhs for up gradation in March 1995.
  • A Novell Netware Server, 14 Pentium I PCs installed in March 1996.
  • ERNET Internet Connectivity Started in July 1996.
  • UGC Sanctioned 50 lakhs for up gradation in Feb. 2000.
  • Windows 2000 Server and 12 Pentium III PCs were added in Aug. 2001.
  • Fiber Cable University Back bone was installed, connecting the Centre with Faculty of Engineering, Science, Central Library and Central Administrative Office in Jan. 2002.
  • Eighteen Pentium IV PCs added to the Centre in June 2002.
  • UGC Sanctioned 17 lakhs for Networking in Nov. 2003.
  • IBM Unix Server Added to the Centre Facility in July 2004.
  • Fiber Cable University Back bone extended to Faculty of Arts, Commerce, Education, Social Science, USIC, Electrical Engg. Lab. of Faculty of Engineering, in Aug 2004.
  • ERNET VSAT Internet link installed in Sept. 2004.
  • Reliance Internet Fiber Lease line installed in Feb 2005.
  • Ten Pentium IV PCs  added to the facility in March 2006.
  • UGC Sanctioned 15 lakhs for up gradation in  Jan 2007.
  • Twenty Five IBM DualCore PCs added in March 2007, with first installment of 12 lakhs. 
  • Girls Hostel and Department of Psychology added to Social Science through Wi-Fi connectivity to join Campus LAN in May 2007.
  • Junior Boys Hostel connected to Campus LAN through Technical College on UTP in May 2007.
  • Women Polytechnic added to Campus LAN in July 2007.
  • All Faculty / College Assembly Halls connected to Convocation Hall for Live Broadcast of Special Program in Sept 2007.
  • In year 2007, With New Building the Centre became better organized to increase the number of Computers and a Multimedia Facility begin to Function.
  • The Campus LAN extended to Faculty of Arts, Commerce, Education, Social Science, USIC, Electrical Engg. Lab. of Faculty of Engineering
  • 25 State of Art Computer Added to the facility.
  • Leased Line to AADEIs Centre as a link to IGNOU, New Delhi installed in June 2008.
  • Two new 5 KVA UPS and Ten LCD Monitors added in the facility in Sept 2008.
  • Upgradation of Network Infrastructure of the Institute between Oct. 2009 & Jan 2010, included:
    • Cisco 6509 Core Switch with Firewall Module
    • Ironport S-160 Web Security Appliance : Proxy for secured Internet access
    • Cisco 3825 Router with Intrusion Prevention Module : Unified router
    • Cisco 2960 Switches – 16 in number
    • 10 KVA UPS for extended backup.
    • 10 KVA UPS for NKN facility.
    • Connected Girls Hostel & Department of Psychology by UTP with Institute LAN using a fibre back bone terminating at NRSC Girls.
    • Four Solar power ready Air Conditioners installed in Feb. 2010
    • NKN Facility commenced in end of  March 2010
  • Three HP Servers added in May 2010
  • HP Pro Desktop Computers installed 66 Nos. in March 2011
  • Started New Courses on Android Programming for Mobile Phones and Tablets in Feb 2012
  • Enhanced Internet Security through Cisco Asynchronous Security Appliance (ASA 5540 with SMM) in Feb. 2012.
  • Started New Courses on Windows Programming for Mobile Phones and Tablets in Feb 2013
  • Internet Bandwidth of standby link extended from 16 mbps to 24 mbps in April 2013
  • Leased line bandwidth for Delhi and Timarni extended to 6 mbps from 4 mbpos each in April 2013.
  • Wi-Fi facility Installed in Campus and Residential Area in May 2013
  • Surveillance System installed in March 2011 / July 2013
  • WIFI facility installed and enhanced with latest Cisco Access Points in June 2017.
  • Wireless Controller is installed in Centre to control all the WIFI access points in May 2017.
  • Upgraded old Desktop in New Dell System with latest configuration in May 2017.
  • CART, Distance Education and Leather Technology Departments connected to Campus LAN on Fiber in June 2017.
  • Women’s Polytechnic connected to Campus LAN on Fiber in September 2017.
