The IEEE Women In Engineering (WIE) Student Branch DEI is a community of dynamic
individuals working towards promoting women engineers and scientists to achieve
unprecedented goals, and inspiring girls around the globe to nurture, cultivate and follow
their academic interests in a career in engineering, science and technology.
The WIE Student Branch DEI encourages its cause by organising various events like seminars,
webinars, workshops and competitions to boost the interest of people, especially young
girls,
in the up-and-coming areas of the various sciences. It also provides students with access to
the IEEE WIE Newsletter, along with opportunities to get their hands on WIE awards,
scholarships, and travel grants.
IEEE WIE is one of the biggest forces on the planet to drive the change in the world of engineering, science and technology. It plays a major role in making the way for, and encouraging women to forge their own paths and make history. This global network of students, professionals and experts brings together more than 20,000 members from more than 100 countries to advance women in technology, at all stages of their lives and careers. IEEE WIE offers its members the opportunity to connect with one another, gain prestigious mentors, and work together with the aim of benefitting humanity at large.
