
Dr. S.K. Soniis a distinguished academician and researcher with extensive expertise in both teaching and research. His teaching interests span a broad spectrum of subjects, including Algae, Lichens, Gymnosperms, Palaeobotany, Plant Anatomy, Plant Taxonomy, Environmental Studies, and Biodiversity. His research specialization includes Single-Cell Protein, Bioremediation, Biofuels, Endophytes, and Dairy Technology.
Throughout his career, Dr. Soni has supervised six Ph.D. scholars, two M.Phil. dissertations, and twenty-two postgraduate research projects, and is presently guiding four Ph.D. candidates. Several of his mentees occupy significant positions in research and administration at both national and international levels.
He has held numerous key administrative positions, such as Member of the Governing Body, Academic Council, Chairman of the Faculty Board of Studies, Departmental Board of Studies, Dean of Undergraduate Studies, Proctor for various academic programs, and In-charge of Biodiversity Parks and Gardens.
Dr. Soni is an active member of several editorial boards and serves as a reviewer for national and international research journals. He has contributed to the development of advanced research facilities in agriculture and biodiversity conservation. Furthermore, he is an integral part of the DEI research team, collaborating closely with the Department of Agriculture and Precision Farming, Dayalbagh, Agra.
