Dr. Deepika Chauhan has Professional experience of around 10 years at both UG & PG level. She has been awarded Ph.D. degree on the topic ‘Socio-economic status and Class consciousness among construction site workers of Agra city: A sociological study’ in the year 2018. Her Research Specialization is in Sociology of Youth, Sociology of Health, Sociology of Religion and Marxian Theory of Class Consciousness. She has taught courses like Introduction to Sociology, Foundations of Sociological Thought, Sociology of India, Social Psychology, Social Stratification in India, Sociological Theories, Social Change, Women State and Society, Environmental Sociology and Sociological Concepts.

Honors and Recognitions:

  • Recipient of Professor Radha Kamal Mukherjee Memorial Award for Young Social scientist at 47the Conference of the Indian Social Science Association held at Agra in 2014.
  • Recipient of Director’s  Medal in  P.G Diploma in Environmental Education course and at M.A Sociology degree in D.E.I, Agra.
  • Faculty co-coordinator of IQAC committee from year 2019 to 2023.
  • Faculty level Co- convener for conducting Remedial Classes both at U.G & P.G level under UGC Remedial Coaching Scheme / NET / Entry into serves classes from year 2016-2023.
