The Faculty of Education,Dayalbagh Educational Institute was granted the status of School of Education under the Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers & Teaching (PMMMNMTT),named after the eminent Educationist of India is a flagship programme of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The status is granted to select Education Departments to act as pace setting institutes of teacher preparation across the country.

The National Mission envisages addressing all issues related to teachers, teaching, teacher preparation, professional development and

  • build a strong professional cadre of teachers
  • set performance standards
  • create top class institutional facilities for innovative teaching

 The School of Education, DEI aims at transforming the education landscape in India at the grassroots by empowering the teachers and educators across all levels of education to deliver quality education using a blend of cutting edge technology and advances in experiential, creative and joyful modes of learning. 

The School of Education is a vital addition to the DEI Community and seeks to effectively integrate the national mission with the Institute vision of value-based, holistic, quality education for all. It will foster the long aspired goal of integrating teacher development across all levels of education. The School of Education would undertake in-depth work in the emerging areas of teacher development, interdisciplinary research, material development with social outreach.
