‘Udbhavânâ 2014’ is an “ideation” competition to identify and reward school students (Class 9 – 12) for their innovative ideas to solve social challenges facing the nation and the world. The emphasis of the competition is on finding answers to real-world problems, through innovative approaches, products, services, or ventures. ‘Udbhavânâ 2014’ challenges school students--individuals or teams--to propose original solutions to present-day social problems in the following primary domains: Education (Culture, Values and Quality), Energy, Health, Water, and Waste Management.
The competition is open to all currently enrolled High School & Intermediate School students (i.e. Class 9 – 12). Ideas presented can be in any stage of development, but must be original in that they have not received any prior funding through any other agency / governmental scheme.
