Dr. Lalit Mohan is Fellow of Royal Entomological Society (London) since 2006, Fellow of Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (London) since 2007, Fellow of Society of Education (India) since 2013, Life member Nantional Academy of Vector Borne Diseases (India) since 2008.

He has 14 years of research and 10 years of teaching experience for undergraduate & post graduate classes. He teaches higher invertebrates, protochordates, entomology and hydrobiology at UG level and environmental pollution & toxicology, animal behaviour, experimental entomology, insect pest management and vector biology at PG level.

His research area is “Applied Entomology & Vector Control Technology”. He is focused on plant and microbial metabolites of insecticidal and acaricidal nature. He is also working on synergistic properties of plant, microbial metabolites and synthetic pesticides. Further, the research on the plant based nano-pesticides is also going on under his supervision.

Department of Science and Technology (Government of India) has awarded him by DST Young Scientist Award and sanctioned the DST-SERC Fast Track Project on “Field evaluation of novel combination of bioactive secondary metabolites acting as larvicides and growth inhibitors from an insecticidal plant, Solanum xanthocarpum and temephos for the control of mosquito vectors”.

The Society of Environment and Life Sciences India awarded him with the “Excellence in Research Award” in National Conference on “Resilience and resource management including ICT for sustainable agriculture and biotechnology” 2019. He presented a research paper entitled, “Amalgamative action of phytoextract and synthetic insecticide against the larvae of filarial vector, Culex quinquefasciatus” in 23rd International Congress of Entomology, held at International Convention Centre, Durban, South Africa, during 6-12 July, 2008.

He served as the member of National advisory committee for international conference on “advances in biotechnology and patenting (ICABP -2013)”, National Seminar on “technological advances and their impact on environment (NSTAIE-2014)”, national conference on “resilience and resource management including ICT for sustainable agriculture and biotechnology (NCRRMISAB-2019)”. He also served as the reviewer for different scientific journals of national and international repute.

He supervised 01 PhD, 03 M.Phil theses and 16 M.Sc. dissertations. Currently there are 05 candidates are working under his guidance for their PhD degree.

There are 54 research papers and 10 review articles in various national and international journals, 821 citations, h-index 17 and i10-index 20 have been credited in his name. Further, he also filed a patent (No. #298/DEL/2008 dated 04.02.2008).
