Sanskrit Department runs courses in two major subjects-  Sanskrit & Theology

SANSKRIT:

BA Sanskrit- Four Years

Faculty Ancillary Course –One semester course for non-Sanskrit students

Work Experience Course –Compulsory work based course in ‘Applied Sanskrit’ for U.G. students

MA Sanskrit & Culture – One and half Years

PhD Coursework- 6 months

PhD in Sanskrit

THEOLOGY:

MA in Theology – One and half Years

MA Theology Online mode- – One and half Years

PGDT (PG Diploma is provided to students who complete two semesters of MA Theology and exit.

PhD Coursework- 6 months

PhD in Theology subject

Core Courses:With the purpose of overall development of the students and to inculcate human values in them, two core courses are offered in different semesters, by Sanskrit Department.

Cultural Education:It gives pride in the national ethos so that one may not lose one’s moorings.

Comparative Study of Religions:Concepts of eastern, western religions and Modern Religious Movements are introduced to students so as to inculcate in them an attitude of tolerance and a sense of national integration besides inculcating moral and spiritual values.
