Research activities in the Deptt. were initiated along with opening with M.A. Classes. 65 Ph.D. Degrees have been awarded so far. At present, 24 students are registered for Ph.D. Degree in Sanskrit . The areas of research have been Sanskrit literature (traditional and Modern), Puranas, Ethics, religion, Indian Philosophy, Grammar and Interdisciplinary topics related to Sociology, Economics, Management and Science.
