·        Impart some complex stitching skills like attaching yokes, linings, cuff and pocket preparation on garments.

·        Finishing complex shapes of necklines in garments.

·        Provide drafting, cutting and stitching skill for a few garments for adults like choli cut ladies’ blouse, ladies’ kurti, ladies house coat with shawl collar.

·        Drafting, cutting and stitching skill for gents’ payjama(aligarh style and pant cut style), kurta ( nehru style and kalidar style) and gents’shirt.

10- Week Modular Course on “Fabric to Garment”

·        Provide information related to fibre and fabric manufacturing and finishing of fabrics.

·        Provide skill of identifying fibres and fabrics.

·        Impart basic knowledge for designing garments.

·         Learning to calculate the amount of material required for different garments.

·         Learning calculation details for accurate costing of various garments.

·        Advanced stitching skills like designing the waistline, providing fullness to garments.

·         Learning  stitching skills for a few garments.

·        Drafting, cutting and stitching of churidar, salwar, ladies’ blouse.

·        Sewing of boys’ garments like shorts, shirts and pants.

8-Week Modular Course on “Children’s Clothing (Elementary)”

Course Content

 

·        Provide skills in drafting various types of children’s garments.

·        Provide cutting skills and stitching capabilities for some varieties of children’s clothing

·        Designing and stitching of baby items like layette and jhabla.

·        Cutting and stitching of a line frock, umbrella cut frock, top, night suit.

·        Designing, drafting, cutting and stitching a few styles of frocks or skirts for children of different age groups.

10 - Week Modular Course on “Basics of Sewing”

·        Awareness regarding terms and equipment used in sewing.

·        Introduction to repair and maintenance of sewing machine.

·        Generation of some sketching skills.

·        Knowledge about seams, preparing corners and techniques of shaping various garments.

·        Awareness about selection of appropriate fabrics and accessories for garments.

·        Introduction to the concept of draft preparation.

·        Imparting of some basic stitching and embroidery skills.

·        Drafting of a few types of collars and sleeves.

·        Learning mending and darning on fabrics.
