Dr. Sinha's teaching interests are Cognitive Psychology, Environmental Psychology, Advanced Statistics, and Research Design. Her research interests are in the areas of Behavioural Toxicology, Environmental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, and Gerontology.

She has received the following distinctions and awards during her professional tenure:

  • Professor (Mrs) Anima Sen Memorial Lecture Award for 2004-2005
  • Indian Science Congress January 2005
  • Professor (Mrs) Anima Sen Best Published Paper Award 2006. Indian Journal of Applied Psychology

Dr. Sinha has a rich teaching and research experience of 40 years at UG, PG Classes and research degree levels. She has supervised 19 Ph.Ds, completed 4 Minor Research Projects, and 1 Major Research Project. She has 160 research papers and 5 book chapters to her authorship credit.
