Kavita Kumar is Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences, Dayalbagh Educational Institute (DEI), Deemed University, Dayalbagh, Agra, India. She has been teaching in the department since 2003. Her research interests are in the areas of cognitive Psychology, Health Psychology, Consciousness and Organizational Behavior. She teaches graduate, post graduate and M.Phil. Classes in the area of Experimental Psychology, Applied Psychology, Perception, Health Psychology, and Organizational Behavior.She has guided a number of M.A (S.Sc.) and M.Phil dissertations and presently guiding three PhD scholars. She has constructed two Psychological tests, 'Attitude Towards Ragging Scale' (2010), (ATRS) and a 'Spiritual Intelligence Test' (2011). She has been an active member in organizing international and national conferences and seminars. It culminated in publishing and co-editing a book entitled Health Psychology (2009). She has a number of research papers in books, journals, national and international conferences and seminars. She has delivered invited talks, oral papers and posters in international conferences in India and abroad and visited a number of universities in USA and Canada. She has won Founder's best paper award in an international conference. Kavita has been the recipient of Director's gold medal and Governors gold medal for securing highest marks in B.A. examination (1984) at DEI.Kavita Kumar is a member in the Editorial Review Board of the Journal of Organizations and Human Behaviour.
