Integrated Programmes

Faculty has recently launched a number of integrated programmes

  • Five –Year Integrated B.Tech. & M.Tech.
  • Seven-Year Integrated B.Tech., M.Tech. & Ph.D.
  • Five-Year Integrated B.Tech. & M.B.A. (in collaboration with the Faculty of Social Sciences)

     

Five –Year Integrated B.Tech. & M.Tech.

This is a 5–Year Programme. B.Tech. students can gain entry into this programme after completing VI semester. They would be required to do two more self-study courses, one each in VII & VIII semester respectively. The maximum number of students to be admitted to this programme is proposed to be 10. A student can exit after completing B.Tech. if he so desires. No extra credit shall be given to him for the additional two courses. They may be shown in the grade card, if relevant.

Seven-Year Integrated B.Tech., M.Tech. & Ph.D.

This is a 7 -Year programme which is open for students who have opted for 5-Year Integrated B.Tech. & M.Tech. Programme. A student has to apply after completing 9th summer term of integrated B.Tech. & M.Tech. Programme. After due screening, the department will assign him a Supervisor subject to his successfully clearing the prerequisites for research programme. The maximum number of students to be admitted to this programme would be subject to the availability of the Research Supervisors in the Faculty. Student can opt out of the programme at any time and would get the degree for which he has completed all the requirements viz., B.Tech. /M.Tech./ Ph.D.

Five-Year Integrated B.Tech. & M.B.A. (in collaboration with the Faculty of Social Sciences)

B.Tech. students can gain entry into this 5 year programme. They will be required  to complete credit requirement for MBA programme in one year after successfully completing short courses (with due exemptions). These short courses would be offered in breaks.A maximum of 10 students will be admitted on merit basis.
