Prof. Kandikonda Santi Swarup is currently Professor at Department of Management, Faculty of Social Sciences, Dayalbagh Educational Institute (Deemed to be University), Dayalbagh, Agra – 282 005. He is with DEI in permanent capacity since February 1998. Prior to this (1995-1998), he was a temporary lecturer at DEI and worked (1994-1995) in the field of Merchant Banking after completion of his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 1994.
He actively advises Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as Incharge - Business Advisory Clinic (started on September 4, 2025) which imparts free business advice to MSMEs under the Guidance of Revered Prof. P. S. Satsangi Sahab, Chairman, Advisory Committee on Education (ACE), Dayalbagh Educational Institutions, Dayalbagh, Agra – 282 005. Till date, he has advised in approximately 12,000 cases. For his contribution to MSMEs, he was awarded Varshney Award by the Systems Society of India.
His research interests span in the areas of Small Business Management, Decision Making, and Financial Services. He developed more than 25 case studies for class discussions and was awarded for best case study by Amity Business School. He published in more than 40 national and international journals and presented papers in more than 50 national and international conferences. He acted as a keynote speaker, gave invited talks and acted as sessions chair in many conferences. He visited and gave talks at University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh; Northern Illinois University, DeKalb; New Jersey Institute of Technology, New Jersey; MIT Entrepreneurs Club, Boston; University of Missouri, Columbia, University of Kiel, Germany and Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. He also visited Dingman Centre for Entrepreneurship, University of Maryland, Harvard Innovation Centre, Martin Trust Centre for MIT Entrepreneurship; Missouri Innovation Centre; Southern Illinois University, University of Massachusetts and Kellogg Business School, Chicago.
He served as visiting faculty with Railway Staff Training College, Vadodara; IIITM, Gwalior; Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer and Anand Engineering College, Agra. He was regularly invited and acted as the member of the" Panel of Inspectors" with a view to conducting inspection of colleges/Institutes offering Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) courses by the Vice chancellor of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra. At DEI, he organized Management Development Programmes (MDP) on Leadership Skills for Professionals and Finance for Non-Finance Professionals for working professionals and short Courses on Applications of Finance for the students of Management.
He acted as consultant for BPCL and completed projects for NSE, UGC and MHRD. He is affiliated with various societies and academic/ professional bodies like Systems Society of India, Association of Alumni of Dayalbagh Educational Institutions (AADEIs), All India Management Association, All India Commerce Association, Consultancy Development Centre, Research Development Association, Indian Academy of Social Sciences and Indian Academy of Applied Psychology.
At the Institute Level, he is Coordinator, General Knowledge & current affairs (since 2009), Coordinator of eDEIwww.education initiative (since 2013), Dean of Student Affairs (since 2019), and actively involved in career counselling & guidance for students and professionals.
