Dr. Chauhan has received numerous awards and fellowships, including the IEEE UP Section Star of the Month Award (2022), POSOCO Power System Award (2017), and the Best Ph.D. Thesis Award in IEEE UPCON 2017. He won 2nd prize in IEEE IAS CMD Humanitarian Project Contest (2017) USA, and he was awarded the Bhaskara Advanced Solar Energy (BASE-2014) Award by the Indo-US Science and Technology Forum.

He served as a lecturer for IAS Young Professionals, Counselor for the IEEE Student Branch, and Advisor for WIE and IAS Student Chapters at DEI, Agra. He is a member of the Project Panel at The Institution of Engineers (India) and an expert reviewer at Marwadi University, Rajkot. He has examined Ph.D. thesis for Visvesvaraya Technological University, Karnataka and University of Mumbai. Dr. Chauhan past roles include Assistant Professor at GECT Greater Noida and Visiting Scientist at the University of Texas at Austin US. He has also held faculty positions at RIT Roorkee, and KEC Mohannagar.

He has edited 03 books (1 IET and 2 Elsevier), authored 17 book chapters, and published over 50 research papers including 17 SCI/ESCI and 22 Scopus. He holds 6 granted/registered patents and 4 published in India. He secured Rs. 10 lakh from the Government of India for a microgrid project and Rs.2 lakh in institutional funding for battery monitoring systems. He has completed 7 consultancy projects for UPPTCL Agra.

He received an Rs. 20 lakhs grant from the Ministry of Education to develop a Control Engineering Virtual Lab and created MOOCs on Digital Logic Design for AKTU. He is serving as a member of the Editorial board for Discover Electronics, Springer. He served as session chair in IEEE ACED Russia, IEEE GEC Turkey and delivered 27 keynote talks in reputed conferences and Trainings.
