Professor S.K. GAUR is Emeritus Professor in Mechanical Engineering with an experience of more than 25 years in research and 35 years in teaching UG and PG courses. He teaches Machine Design, Instrumentation, Entrepreneurship, Micro-Electro- Mechanical System and Rural Engineering. His areas of research interests are Systems Engineering, Micro-Electro- Mechanical System, Fuzzy Sets and System, Soft Computing, Intelligence System, Interactive Management, System Dynamics, Ergonomics, Quantum Computing and Consciousness Studies. He has authored several research papers with significant impact factors which have been published in international and national journals. He has carried out a number of research projects funded by prestigious agencies like DST, CSIR etc. He is a life member of several professional bodies like System Society of India, Indian Society of Continuing Engineering Education etc.. He has chaired sessions in various International and National conferences. He has been instrumental in various CSR projects of social relevance some are:

• Real life workshop on ‘Fatherhood of God & Brotherhood of Man ‘conducted by DEI & Advisory Committee on Education in Dayalbagh in December 2007.
• Policy Design for Holistic Development of Murar village Cluster as an Ideal Eco-village Complex’ under DEI & Advisory committee on education of Dayalbagh in 2010.
• Scenario Building Exercise for Optimal Utilization of Available Land of Amritsar for Better Worldliness under DEI & Advisory committee on education of Dayalbagh.
• Exploring feasibility for the proposal titled “Towards scientific agriculture in Dayalbagh and appropriated technology perspective” under the guidance from Chairman Advisory committee on education of Dayalbagh.
• Successfully conducted a community project on “Effect of Devotional And Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Activity Mix on Humancenteric Socio-Econo-Politico-Cultural-Environment”.
• He had been looking after career counselling of UG students in Engineering for a period of 12 years under career guidance activity of the faculty of engineering .

He is a life long learner and have earned certification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy(CBT) , Past Life Regression (PLR) etc

He has published two books on Hindi poetry titled Gulshan and Guldaan respectively as a collection of his own poems as part of his literary achievement.
